Eligibility: Promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age and are signed up to Facebook before April 6, 2014. Employees of Hachette Book Group, Inc. (“Sponsor”), Nick Trout (the “Author”), Facebook, and their respective parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, retailers, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies and their immediate family members (mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters and spouse), and/or those living in the same household of such family members, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win (“Promotion Entities”). Promotion is void where prohibited by law.
Promotion Period: All entries must be received between 12:01 am (ET) on April 6, 2014 and 11:59 pm (ET) on May 1, 2014.

You must include on the entry form your first and last name, complete mailing address (no P.O. Boxes), birthday, daytime phone number and valid email address.
All entrants must have a valid email address. Only an email address subscribed to and registered in an entrant’s name may be used by such entrant. In the event of a dispute about entries submitted by multiple individuals using the same email address or account, the entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter the Promotion at the actual time of entry. The authorized email account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet-access provider, an online-service provider or another organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.

Submission: must meet ALL of the following requirements.
(i) The Submission shall be a color photograph of a real pet of entrant or entrant’s family;
(ii) The Submission must be the entrant’s original, unmodified photograph, and shall not include any pre-existing material;
(iii) The Submission must not include any trademark or logo, or appear to be an advertisement or promotion for any product or service; and
(iv) The Submission must not include real people.
Please keep the original of any Submission as Sponsor will not be able to return it to entrant.
3. Vote for Your Favorite Submission:
How to Vote: Once you have entered on the Facebook page for HyperionVoice (https://www.facebook.com/HyperionVoice) review all existing entries and “like” the one (1) you select as best.
Posting or Removal of Submission: To implement this Promotion and subject to Sponsor’s sole discretion, Sponsor may post a Submission that appears to meet the Submission Requirements on https://www.facebook.com/HyperionVoice . Each entrant irrevocably grants the Promotion Entities and their respective successors, assigns and licensee, the right to use such entrant’s name, likeness, biographical information and Submission(s) in whole or in part in this Promotion and in any and all media for any purpose, including without limitation advertising and promotional purposes, as well as in, on or in connection with the Promotion and/or other promotions conducted by the Promotion Entities, and each entrant hereby releases the Promotion Entities from any liability with respect thereto. Without limiting the preceding sentence, Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to edit, composite, morph, scan, duplicate, alter, publish, or other use each Submission for any of the foregoing purposes. However, Sponsor shall have no liability for failing to post a Submission or from removing a Submission at any time during the Promotion Period in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Without limiting the preceding sentence, Sponsor may remove a Submission if it appears to Sponsor not to come from an eligible entry r Sponsor receives a claim, whether or not legitimate, concerning a Submission.
Additional Rules Regarding Entry:
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry if it does not appear to Sponsor to comply with the Official Rules. Without limiting the preceding sentence, any entry that, in Sponsor’s good faith judgment is incomplete or does not meet the specifications in any respect may be disqualified.
Sponsor Selection of Potential Winners; Odds of Winning
Selection of Potential Winners. On or about May 1 , 2014, Sponsor shall count up all votes for each Submission from eligible entrants and determine the three (3) Submissions with the highest number of votes.
Odds of winning depend on the number of votes for Submissions by eligible entrants who vote during the Promotion Period.
Notification and Qualification of Winners:
The potential winners will be notified on or after May 8, 2014 by e-mail using the contact information provided at the time of entry. In addition, if Sponsor elects, announcements also may be posted online at Facebook/HyperionVoice (http://www.facebook.com/HyperionVoice ). Sponsor shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by a potential winner for any reason. If any potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules, such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected.
The potential prize winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and (where legal) Publicity Release (collectively “Prize Claim Documents) within (5) five days of issuance of notification. If the winner is considered to be a minor in his or her state of residence, at Sponsor’s option, the applicable prize either will be awarded to the minor winner’s parent or guardian on behalf of the winner, and/or the parent or legal guardian of the minor winner will be required to ratify and sign the Prize Claim Documents. Non-compliance with the foregoing may result in disqualification and awarding of prize to an alternate winner. If any prize notification letter or prize is returned as undeliverable, winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner may be selected. Confirmation of prize winners is subject to Sponsor’s verification of the Prize Claim Documents. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute all or part of a prize with for one or more prizes of equal or greater value due to any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to Authors’ changing schedules and/or unavailability.
Grand Prize: The Submission which receives the highest number of votes will win the Grand Prize consisting of one (1) Wag.com gift card in the amount of $100.00 (which may include conditions or terms in addition to those in these Official Rules) and a signed trade paperback copy of each of the Author’s two (2) novels, Dog Gone, Back Soon and The Patron Saint of Lost Dogs: A Novel.

Runners Up (Two (2) prizes): Each of the up to two (2) Submissions which receive the highest number of votes will win a Runner Up Prize. Each such price consists of signed trade paperback copies of the Author’s two novels, Dog Gone, Back Soon and The Patron Saint of Lost Dogs: A Novel.

Total Aggregate ARV for all prizes is $190.00.
General Prize Conditions: Prize will be awarded only if the potential winner fully complies with these Official Rules. No cash will be paid to winner and no interest will be paid on any prize. Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable and is not redeemable or reimbursable for cash or another prize. All details and other restrictions of prizes not specified in these Official Rules will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Further Documentation: If Sponsor shall desire to secure additional documents in order to effectuate the purposes and intent of these Official Rules, then each entrant agrees to sign the same upon Sponsor’s request therefore.
General Liability Release/Force Majeure: Entrants (or if minors, their parents or legal guardians) agree that the Promotion Entities (a) shall not be responsible or liable for any losses, damages or injuries of any kind resulting from participation in the Promotion, or any Promotion or Prize-related activity, or from entrants’ acceptance, receipt, possession and/or misuse of the prize, including, without limitation, injury, accident or illness related to the Promotion, and (b) have not made any warranty, representation or guarantee express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to the prize, including, without limitation, to such prize’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any damage to an entrant participating in the Promotion or use of any prize.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, misdirected, misprinted, late, lost, damaged, stolen or postage-due entries, or prize notifications; or for lost interrupted Entries sent by mail; or for any technical malfunctions, failures, difficulties or other errors of any kind or nature. Sponsor may in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsman-like or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any person, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person the fullest extent permitted by law.
In the event Sponsor is prevented from awarding prize, continuing with the Promotion as contemplated herein, or implementing the prize, or the Author is unable to participate in signing any prize, by any event beyond Sponsor’s or Author’s’ reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, natural or man made epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal state or local governing law, order, regulation, public health crisis (e.g. SARS), order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Sponsor’s control (each a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), then subject to any governmental approval may be required, Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated for Force Majeure before the designated end date, Sponsor will (if possible) select the winner(s) from all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the event giving rise to the termination. If the Grand Prize cannot be implemented, Sponsor will (if possible) award a prize which in the sole discretion of the Sponsor is commensurate with the cost or the Grand Prize.
These Official Rules cannot be modified or amended in any way except in a written document issued in accordance with law by a duly authorized representative of Sponsor. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules shall not affect the validity enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein.
Governing Law/Jurisdiction: ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABLITIY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROMOTION SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE’S LAWS.

Hyperion Title Distribution Announcement – 6/4/2010
Wenner titles will no longer be available from Hyperion, and Hyperion will be accepting returns for the next four months. More information and complete title list below.
The ISBNs below will no longer be distributed by Hyperion. Hyperion will accept returns for through the end of September.
All returns must be received by September 30, 2010. Returns should be sent to: HarperCollins Returns Center, 2205 East Lincolnway, LaPorte, IN 46350.

Hyperion Shared Markdown Program for Store Closings
In order to reduce the cost of returns when a store location closes, Hyperion offers the following program to its direct retail customers:
Six weeks prior to the scheduled closing of a retail location, Hyperion product must be marked down to the consumer at least according to the following rate. At each of the below markdown levels, Hyperion will issue a credit equal to half the markdown percentage for each book sold to consumers and not returned to Hyperion.* Credits will be issued as follows, based on proof of sale:
– 6 weeks prior to store closing: 10% or more off cover price Credit: 5% of cover price
– 5 weeks prior to store closing: 20% or more off cover price Credit: 10% of cover price
– 4 weeks prior to store closing: 30% or more off cover price Credit: 15% of cover price
– 3 weeks prior to store closing: 40% or more off cover price Credit: 20% of cover price
– 2 weeks prior to store closing: 45% or more off cover price Credit: 22.5% of cover price
– 1 week prior to store closing: 50% or more off cover price Credit: 25% of cover price
If any portion of the markdown period is between Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, a maximum 10% markdown level will be supported by Hyperion. Retailer may sell books at greater discounts but Hyperion will share the markdown only to the extent set forth above.
In order to qualify, the retailer must:
– Provide, prior to the start of the markdown program, a written letter verifying the store is closing and the date of the closing
– Advise HarperCollins (Hyperion’s distributor) at least 2 weeks before the sale starts that it wishes to participate in the program
– Furnish to a sales representative or to HarperCollins Distribution Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, a complete inventory of all Hyperion product by ISBN prior to the initial markdown
– Discontinue all reorder activity for Hyperion titles
– Furnish to a sales representative or to HarperCollins Distribution Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, proof of its retail sales for each markdown period. Such proof must consist of either computer printouts or cash register receipts detailing sales
– Promote the markdowns to consumers with in-store signage
– Furnish to a sales representative or to HarperCollins Distribution Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, a complete inventory of all remaining Hyperion product by ISBN at the time of the final store closing
Bulk sales and books bought on a non-returnable basis are excluded from this program.
This program is available only for “brick and mortar” locations and not for on-line retailers.
If the store does not actually close during week 7, Hyperion may reverse the credits given to the retailer.
We reserve the right to exclude certain titles from this program at our discretion and/or cap the offered markdown credit for specific titles. Hyperion will notify the retailer of any such titles.
